Let’s be real. Talking to people can sometimes be really awkward, right? It’s tough when you’re not sure what to say or you’re simply not interested in the person you’re talking to.
But how can you be great at handling any situation when talking to people?

If you’re not ready yet to sign up, let’s talk a little bit more about how you actually start a conversation. How do you get there?? Sometimes that’s the hardest part. How do you start a conversation when sometimes, you have nothing to talk about?
Here are some clever ways ….
Idea #1 Look around.
Look around and what do you notice?? What do you see? Is there a view of the ocean, city, a landscape, a dog? Mention how the view reminds you of an experience or how awesome it looks!
Idea #2 Don’t ask closed-ended questions.
It seems to be true we all like to talk about ourselves. Be the person to get the other person started talking about themselves. An open question requires an explanation. Open questions usually begin with what, how, tell me.
Idea #3 Be OK with making mistakes
It’s going to happen. Making mistakes is normal and no matter how much you practice, it’ll happen. But the better you get, the less you’ll make mistakes. Keep working at it.
